The weekend is winding down. Weather was warm and beautiful. Perfect for family BBQ, swimming pool parties, graduation celebrations and so much more!
Question is, how well did you stay on target towards the goals you have set for yourself? Did you eat every two and half to three hours? Were the majority of your meals healthy? Did you combine a lean protein with whole grains, whole wheat or fruits and veggies? What exactly is the damage?
To recover, start fresh NOW! Not tomorrow, not after the friends head back home, not after dinner this evening....NOW. Deciding to take control of your actions is one aspect of being mentally fit. Choose to fuel your body with only the very best fuel. Get back on schedule by eating every 3 hours to avoid excessive hunger and eating out of control and choosing empty calorie foods and beverages.
Drink water especially if that's gone to the wayside this weekend. Sodas and alcoholic beverages can leave you dehydrated, especially in this heat. You may feel sluggish and have low energy going into the beginning of the work week.
6 to 8 hours of sleep! That's your goal all week. Everything in life is better when your body and mind are well rested. If you're getting up for our 5:00 a.m. workout, make it a plan to be in bed by 8:00 p.m. but no later than 9:00 p.m. tonight. I know it sounds incredibly early, but keep your goals in mind when planning your evening. It's worth it!
Log book check tomorrow! I believe your lead instructor (GG) said 60 squats if choices are undesirable. Be honest. Log everything. Don't cheat yourself.
Week 3! We're strong, dedicated, persistent. Hooah!
